Can SEO Help me Promote My Business?
Is your website not performing as well as you think it should, or are you trying to get into affiliate marketing and can't seem to gain traction? Sure you can pay for advertising to bring people to your site, but why would you do that if you can get them there without paying for each click?

We all know that SEO is important. If you can get high enough in the search engine results, you can be assured good traffic; and if your site is well written, good conversions. But we also all know that SEO is a moving target. What works today may not work tomorrow, and what worked last year, and in some cases last, month is long gone.
When it comes to SEO, it's really all about Google. Sure Yahoo and Windows Live (MSN) are factors, but if you optimize well for Google, you will be well covered for the others. How do you optimize for Google? Well for starters they aren't going to tell you. The search engine ranking system is the secret sauce of the Internet. It works and is special because no one knows exactly how it works, and on top of that, it changes frequently.
Hopefully this didn't make you more upset than you already are. We know that you've dumped a bunch of time and energy into that website, and on top of needing sales from it; you feel like a bit of a dolt that you can't seem to make it work. The Internet is just supposed to bring customers your way, isn't it? Well, it would if it wasn't that everyone and their dog had a website advertising the same product, or at least using the same general terms as you.

Chances are they have hired some big firm to handle their SEO and that's not something you can compete with. Or so you thought...
For starters, you aren't alone. I've been there. I've built websites and then watched them do nothing for months. To educate myself I spent a lot of time reading posts in forums, articles on SEO, and slogged through more stuff on the Internet that I already knew for those few gems than I care to recall. After years I gained the knowledge I have today and have the skills to take a website from zero to hundreds of visitors a day in the space of a week.
Now, I'm pretty sure that you aren't enthusiastic about the prospect of years of study to learn how to promote your site. Goodness knows that if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have done it either.
